Default Question about 95 ZR-1's and Auto Trans's

To the board,

I have a friend that bought a ZR-1 (1995 optional motor package). It is comp yellow with an auto.... Strange to me I thought they all were 6-speeds.. If an auto is correct let me know I am fighting against him for dig this too much HP's on a car with 33 G and swapping out for a LT-1 (SUV driver no more said). Also this car came with supposly same front/rear sized tires?? Is this a custom oddity or fake with a LT-5 he won't let me drive it I have a 96' C4 he is looking at an investment and he hasn't given a good shot of the front of the motor or the heads/fuel runners.

Thanks,

You are correct. Let him read this if he continues to claim he has an auto ZR-1.

From the ZR-1 FAQ
"QUESTION: Could you buy an automatic ZR-1?

ANS: No, all ZR-1's were 6-speeds only."
