Could be a Northeast Region (we still need an "official" name...) get together/event when it gets to Lime Rock on Sept 29??? There'll probably be a "Corvette Corral"?

Wow, what an awesome car!

I noticed one of the guys in the video is a Digital Corvette Sculptor.

He did very well with that car. Damn, what a boring job I have.

nothing. I don't care what they call this thing just so long as I get to see it run. hell they may pull the corvette name and rebrand it a caddy like they did the last lmp/dp car they built

It seems similar to the old Corvette GTP cars of the '80s. It's a way to get your brand out there. Though considering Corvettes are already pretty well known in enduro/road racing, I don't quite get the point. Possibly Chevy just lent their name and not much money to it?

BTW Kevin, The Cadillac LMP car was never branded a Corvette, nor ever intended to be branded anything but a Caddy. It also used a Northstar-like DOHC motor (a twin-turbo version of the Aurora IRL motor), no Chevy engine in there. It's too bad Caddy never got the reliability together on that car, it was fast as **** when it was running.

Bob,

You and I are on same page with this. The high profile venue for Corvette technology has been ALMS and LeMans. Racing is where you prove out what you sell. This car has nothing to do with the Vette except maybe the motor which is a cross platform component. So I'm still puzzled by what the point is unless this is future direction which it currently appears not to be.
