hehe , its 200 miles around my corner to the closest strip one way. really big corner . and driving on drag radials on mountain roads is a very wild deal .if you jerk the wheel at all ,you do the loop de loop .

Shakespeare raceway? Did that used to be Long Marston? Went there a couple of times when I was involved with the drag racing team over there.

It was a nice track - good facilities for a UK drag venue. Probably even better now. Good luck with your track day, hope it's a great day for you and you have a lot of fun

Had to laugh. That was me at my first (official) drag race in the Z. My reaction time was .7!! I barely got my rpm up and suddenly the light was green! The stock C5 beside me jumped out about 2 car lengths ahead before I got the clutch out. But, I managed to turn in a 13.1 at 111mph on a stock 90...AND end ahead of the C5 by about two car lengths in spite of my napping at the starting line.
