Hib,

I got directed back to this thread from another "performance exhaust" thread and saw your question. The answer is that the Ultraflows have 2 straight thru paths. The Z06 flapper blocks one of the outlets but the exhaust still has a straight exit available unlike the Z06 muffs you describe. If you haven't seen this vid, it demonstrates the difference in tone between flapper open and closed with the Ultraflows.

Here's the Magnaflows originally on the car.

and now w Ultraflow Open/Closed flapper

Has anybody tried the B&B Fusion mufflers on their Z? Will they eliminate resonance with the flaps closed? Sound quality? They've got a special on them right now -- $995 delivered (vs. $1351 regular price). Not cheap either way but a whole lot less hassle compared to piecing a system together and polished SS to keep the bling factor up.

For the difference in cost, it's worth the hassle IMO although 995 ain't bad considering the cost of the Z06 tips, Dynamax and fitment.

Didn't get back to this thread as quickly as I should. Thanks for the tip in Ultraflows but the video you made reference to wasn't linked. There were two still images showing exhaust pipes with vapor coming out.

RAM full? Browser issue? I just tried it, and both worked OK.
