Default Wheel woes

Just found out that the left side wheels are bent/out of round. Explains why the previous tire shop couldn't balance out a vibration. Don't recall running over anything or hitting a curb.

Can these wheels be repaired? Or am I looking at replacing them.

Call your insurance company and ask them who they use to straighten wheels. Body shop would know also.

I have a wheel straightener in the garage. never done a set of aluminum wheels though.
Wouldnt there be an issue with "work hardening" of the aluminum? Maybe not if the bend was minimal.

peace

I work in insurance, the can be repaired without issue. Never had an issue and I oversee about 5500 claims per month, for the last 14 years....so they know what is safe and what is not.

Good info, I will have to throw an aluminum wheel on the straightener and see how it works out.
Thanks.

PS Some of those motorcycle wheel repairs are really out there. Good pricing as well.

peace
