I changed to LEDs and installed the hood light bypass sold by most of the part houses. This way when you want the lights on you don't have to unplug or plug in the lights. Just a simple toggle and they are off or on when you want.

I have owned C4 corvettes since 1993. I have owned the hatch vents since 1993. It is rare for me not to have the hatch vent in the rear window. They are great

Thanks Jeff. That’s good enough for me. Looks like it gets the green light

I have the Rear Hatch Vent Bracket. It is great for airflow and turbulence in the car with the windows down. Also you can really hear your exhaust while driving. The stick on mirror deflectors also improve the windows open driving experience.

I welded a wing nut on the hold down screw that goes through the Hatch Latching Bracket. Makes it super easy to take on and off. You don't need to break out the Torx Corvette Ratchet to install.

My only concern with the Rear Hatch Vent Bracket is traveling over super rough pavement. I could see a scenario where you hit a very large jarring bump and the Hatch could be stressed to the point of shattering. With the Hatch completely closed that force is spread over the entire weatherstrip area versus just the glass where the latch bolts through.

I like the idea of welding a wing-nut to the screws.

Anyway, I got mine from Mid America Motorworks (MAM). It has the plunger that turns off the interior lights, something the "wire loop" thingies don't do.

Cheers!

PS: I tried to attache a photo, but for some reason the site won't paste it this morning.

Swapped the under hood globes for LEDs. A whole $7.00 for both and what a difference it made. Looks much better, is brighter and achieves the low current draw result. Got all excited and decided l will swap all the interior globes to LED as well. Question: the footwell lamps, do they just pop out?? I want to do the door trim lamps and the mirror/map lights as well.

The only bulbs you can't replace with LEDs are the small mood lights in the doors and mirror. I have LEDs everywhere else inside my ZR-1. Much brighter.
