Default Early C4 with ZR-1 body

This is the second time this car has been posted for sale. I tried to get the vin but he said the windshield had paint on it covering it.
From what I can see it is an 84 with ZR-1 body parts.
The hood and fan shroud and pulley brackets look to be 84 items.

Interesting find. If someone is close ot would be cool to check it out.

I kind of doubt someone switched the rear surround, doors, rockers, and bumper cover....It's hard to tell much from the pictures, but it's more likely a ZR-1 that had another motor/trans swapped in with replacement fiberglass in the front.

It doesn’t have the rear stop like, so it is most likely a custom build of fiberglass.

There have been some that swapped to the wide body before.

There is a Yellow Vert that went to a wide body (with LT5)

Bill B's 89 was converted to a wide body.. I am sure there are others.. there is a guy on CF that wants to do it, but wants a custom wide rear bumper (he has an 89 and wants the 89 narrow rear bumper but wide)

It is a flat dash car, so i think they switched the rear body work.
I would love to have the body panels for spares to pick up a damaged car in the future.

Very well could be a prototype 89 ZR1 body. Should see if the guy has a title. If not it just might be. It is in the right area of Ohio that it may have got out of Michigan not being destroyed.

Good catch. I doubt it's custom fiberglass. They probably grafted ZR-1 quarters on. Then just swap doors, rockers, and rear bumper cover. Lots of little stuff too, but those are the major pieces.
