Batteries normally only last 3 years.

NOT to hijack this thread, but using a Battery Tender, it is programmed to de-sulfate (pulse) the battery periodically. The result has been batteries in all 3 Vettes being "fresh as a daisy" for 13+ years. Just sayin....

Batteries last longer in cold weather states. I use a battery tender, but sometimes they fail or become marginal. I?ll be hunting down a new battery when it is safe for me to shop in public.

In general I get about 3 years on batteries down here, the heat is a killer. This year I have insulating blankets on two of them, not sure if that will really matter much. On the vehicles I use a tender on it stretches a little. I just went to AGM on two other cars, I hope they last a bit longer.

Ok fuel pressure at idle is at 21psi...I know it should be around 43 at idle....Did not drive it yet with gauge Attatched....Lots of snow and ice...

Guess the next thing is check the draw on each pump with a multi meter ?

Let me know...Thnx for all the help..

Dude, the pump/pumps are done. 21 PSI warm, cold, hot, any reason pump/s = B A D.

I?d put vacuum on the regulator and see if it holds.

Weird thing is I changed these a few years back.......I had an issue with the car once it got to 170 degrees it would run like crap....

It wasn't the pumps....It was a sensor near the headers.....Thought it was the pumps...

Will try checking the current with the meter...Pulled hose off regulator and its dry...No fuel leaking if that helps...

Just a word of caution.. agree completely that if pressure truly is 21 psi, there is a fuel supply issue. I have had numerous LT-5's that don't read properly because the Schrader valve connection doesn't open properly when the fitting is attached...
