Default Heater Core Leak

Leaky heater core on 1991. Thinking best bet for now is to bypass the core. Asking for guidance on making sure I tap the right hoses and any other suggestions. Thanks!

Interesting I just bypassed my core last night. Go to Lowe?s and purchase two 3/4 inch barbed elbows in brass and four hose clamps. Then go to auto parts and buy a foot of 3/4 heater hose. Drain a gallon of anti freeze. Remove the two lower hoses from the expansion tank. Leave the small hoses connected at the radiator cap neck. Remove the tank and move it out of way. Now you can see the upper and lower heater core hoses to connect your 180.

I replaced a heater core on dregeguy (Charlie's) 92.
If NCRS perfection is not a must, cutting the heater core tubes just long enough to slip on a hose and clamp will make the job somewhat simpler. Otherwise, console, radio bezel, instrument cluster, and finally the dash pad have to be all removed and and the fasteners bagged and labeled.
