Exclamation Calling all the BIG GUNS of the ZR-1 gang!

Hey, guys...we need a HEAD COUNT! The FBI/ZR-1 gang has held the Crown Point Corvette Club team trophy now for longer than any car club; 4 of the past 5 years. The other Chicago clubs are gunnin' for us now BIG TIME and we'll need all our super stars to put 'em on their heals!!

It is scheduled for Sunday Sept 25th. (Yes, I realize currently Marc's annual BBQ is tentatively scheduled for the same day, but there may be an announcement on that, yet to come.)

BBQ NOT withstanding (assuming it can be rescheduled...Marc?), who is planning to attend and take on the rabble??

I'll start a list here, and edit daily as time grows neigh.

Paul Workman
Ami Workman (spectator)
Robert DeMarco
Kevin Costello (barring work travel)
Al Dashto (?)
Pete (?)
Bob Gillig (?)
Lee Gaffgan added
...

Total confirmed (?) (racers) responses so far ~ 3 as of 4:36 PM on Sept 4th.

Certainly hope everyone can make it - especially you big guns...Pete, Marc, Al, Bob G especially. Maybe Todd Pepmeier fm IN??

Let's hear from you!

Oh, excellent! 12.1 is very good, from what we've seen. Anything in the "11s" is golden! But, I expect to see some 11s and maybe a 10.x from the competition this year. So, yours will definitely be a contributor!!

UPDATE:

WE CAN HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!

I spoke to Bill @ CPCC and as most know, the time trials will conclude by NOON. After a short intermission, the bracket racing segment begins - in the afternoon. SO! There is time in the AM to run FLAT OUT for best speed (and compete for the TEAM TROPHY), and then run up to Marc's bash in the afternoon! Can ya beat that!!

Course if it rains, the track part will have to be rescheduled. But, the BBQ will be under the tent - so no problem there.

Scenario: Make a couple or so runs in the morning, and leave for Marc's by say 11:30ish arrive by 1:00 or so for food and fellowship with the gang!

No need to chose which...you can have BOTH!
