Default ZR1 service in NorCal

I just recently purchased a 91 ZR1 and am having problems passing smog and secondary throttle issue. Does anyone know of a ZR1 shop in N California (Bay Area).

nope but I am pretty sure that cali made it hard to pass one of these cars today than it was when they were new so you may not have anything wrong.

I have seen guys have chips burned just to pass smog.

I just went through the Cal smog not passing the last couple of monthes. I can help with advice and hands on work. Finally passed after the usual injectors, O2's, vacuum leaks, coil, wires, plugs and a used set of cat/converters[found out mine were gutted]. She was so clean you could breathe the exhust. PM me with a phone # if you want to talk.

If you need gaskets, seals, coils, plug wires, sensors, parts, etc. check us out at www.jerrysgaskets.com. I hope you resolve the emissions testing without a lot of hassle & expense.

It is illegal to buy used catalysts in CA since 2008 or so.

If you do, they don't really have anyway of knowing, but it is an 'out' if you want to build your own with the one cat approved for the car grafted onto some headers. You might be able to get a ref to sign off on it.

I got the used manifold/cat assy. from a fourm member in ILL. $160.for the pair plus $75 to ship. My final smog results showed HC 3ppm [started at over 400] and co's of 0[zero]. I am in a static test county, you are in a enhanced smog county.
