Default ZR1 exhaust manifolds

Need Help!!!!

I am installing a set of stock exhaust manifolds on a 1990 ZR1. The manifolds (used) came with 13 bolts w/spacers. There are 16 holes plus the center stud per side. The helms manual shows only 6 bolts per side used & the manifolds show prior bolt installation on only 6 holes per side (the same 6 holes the Helms shows). Does the stock system really only use the 6 bols per side plus the center stud?

Yep, that's it...believe it or not the gaskets hold up just fine with 6 per side. I've done a few sets of headers on Zr1's and only used what the factory gave me...and they never blow out. If you removed the center stud make sure you put thread sealer back on the before you reinstall them...oil will dribble out the stud threads if you don't.
