Default R-134a ALERT

This happened about 4yrs ago and it's going on again.
I picked up some (10) at $4.99 back then.

If you want to stock up on R134a now's the time.
It's $6.99 /can right now at Bi-Mart on sale.
As we all know it's $16 everywhere nowadays.

Bi-Mart is a local co-op chain in the NW so if anyone
is reading this outside the NW, sorry.
You're out of luck.

I know the Connector for R12 is different than the Connector for R134a.
On the Can end as well as on the AC end.
Yes for 90 MY I know R12 was original. I converted to R134a some time back. However, R12 is not on sale and is much harder to get. I don't know that you can even buy it without the proper license.

wow $20 per can plus shipping.
Makes converting very cost effective.
AND
R12 cannot be manufactured anymore.
All R12 is from existing stock piles.
So it's convert now or pay more now for R12 and then
still have to convert later.

The $6.99 looks better and better.

My guess is the R134a will also become more expensive. Just look at the last few years and what it's done. I'm stocking up on R134a now.
