Wow am I glad I found this thread! I just bought a Z this past weekend and the worst part of the car cosmetically is the engine. The first owner did a rooky yellow paint job and the guy I bought it from did a quicky black paint job over the yellow. I am not 100% sure what color my car is. Probably spiral or cyber gray. I am thinking body color or silver or red wrinkle. Any good powder coaters in the Dallas TX area?

My 415 is Torch Red, BUT Jeff's Dark Metallic Red is my favorite!

I've never seen it. But I think it would look great. "Brushed" aluminum might look good too, but that texture would be tricky to achieve.
I like the polished aluminum, but my problem is that it can easily be mistaken for chrome. "Natural Aluminum" would be great. |
