You will need longer studs on the front hubs. The Shelby wheels will not fit snug against the hub, you may need to clearance the edge of the centers.

Also you will want to move the center section of the Shelby wheel from the inside to the outside of the barrel. I had those brakes. I swapped to wilwoods, fit is better

They will fit as is, however the wheel will protrude out the fender

Baby steps!!

With this weekend?s warm weather it was time to pull the wheels and brakes out of the shed.

Findings:

Rear wheels stick out past fender a hair. May be because suspension isnt compressed?

Front wheels seem to fit just fine over C5 brakes as is. MAYBE caliper to inner wheel makes contact. Would be pretty easy to clearance by a machine shop and refinish the calipers to look better than new

Callaway Brembos seem to use similar banjo bolt lines as whats on the car now. Crossing fingers that it is as it seems and I can retain my stainless Earl?s lines and not have to order new ones

Will be mounting tires on wheels this week.

I flipped the rear centers to the outside and run a 1/4 spacer for better fitament

The Brembo saga is almost complete.

The quick-short of it is that I cannot use the Callaway-Brembo setup with the Shelby Series 1 wheels.

The hats for the rotors are too thick and push the wheels too far outward. Im not willing to modify the wheels as I feel it takes away from their aesthetic appeal so Im sticking with the C5 front brakes for now.

I found some 3mm spacers that "worked" but they were made of this flimsy aluminum that I didnt want to be stuck with. I ordered some DRM 1/4 inch spacers that arrived yesterday.

Turns out I needed the longer studs that I ordered to run with the Brembos as the factory studs were too short to run with the 1/4inch spacer.

Also, turns out that the McGard lug nuts that I bought that looked really slick, were too shallow to use with the longer studs LOL

Long story short:

C5 Brakes
1/4inch DRM Spacers
Moser 8255 Studs (2.5")
Factory Lug Nuts
Shelby Series 1 Wheels

While I was at it, I replaced the rear exhaust hanger isolators with fresh rubber. Eveyrthing sits nice now.

Should have it on the ground tomorrow...
