My 1990 has Flowmasters. They were on the car when I bought it. Just the other day I was cruising on the LV Strip and at a stop light a fella asked what kind of exhaust I had. He said he liked the sound. He had a C4, but not a ZR1.

I have Flowmasters on my 84 and I have to say they sound great for the wussy 205hp L98 motor!!! Thank god I put a 373 gear in her so she at least goes better on 0-60 times apx 5 to 5.5 sec now and allows me to waste 5slow blue oval stangs with auto trannies and my brothers now x 94 c4 lt-1 with auto...does great burnouts on the khumos as well!!!

The L98 was the next year. '84 was the Crossfire which I believe was the L83? (or L82?).

I had Flowmasters on my '87 L98, along with a front Y that removed the pre-cats. It was pretty loud but sounded great. However I can't get past the chambering in Flowmaster mufflers. I guess Corsas on the Aurora spoiled me, I like that you can see right down the whole thing, yet without a continuously perforated tube or the weight of packing.

thnx 4 the correction after much research I found in CF a c4 registry and it seems a lot o guys are confused what engine they have...some even think its an lt1! lol the majority say l83 so I think this must be right...check out the link and ull see a lot of guys thought like I that it was a l98 and multi port l98 for 1985 but I guess l83 is the crossfire!!! Heck one guy on p10 thought he had a lt4...lol talk abt ill-informed!!! I still say it is a wussy motor and that is why I did the mods I did till I got smart and just broke down and bought the KOTH... I still drive the 84 though when I wanna just go out and beat on a vette....better the 84 than the ZR-1!!! LOLOL and get this the 84 has only 52k miles vs the zr-1 with 60k miles...hence why I use the 84 as the true "BEATER" lol

That's what that was! It sounded SOO familiar but I couldn't pinpoint it. Of course, the good ol' V1!

Sorry, I totally messed up this link. It's an mp3, a sound file, not an mpg. Here's the real link and it should work a lot better:
