Default 1992 ZR1- 12000 miles- Value???

A local dealer has a 12000 mile red 92 ZR1, He is asking 29,900 which is very high. Does anyone have suggestions on what a fair price for this might be?

Thanks

Sounds like a nice car based on the mileage alone. I think $30k is steep right now considering the used car market in general. If you are interested in it, I'd offer around $24k and see if you can get it.

Let us know and good luck.

Another guy got a '94 with 16k miles on it for $26.2 from a dealer in San Jose. Granted that was a steal, but a '94 is a whole lot more valuable than a '92. How long has it been on the lot?

They have had it since the end of July, they don't want to budge too much on the price. I'll wait for a better deal.

Well what I would do, assuming you like the car is make an offer, and leave your name and number with them. Let them know you are actively searching for a less expensive one, and leave it at that.
If they decide they need to move it quick, your offer will at least be considered, and if you get the call, you can play hardball with them. It doesn't always work, but now and then, I've gotten the call, even when I didn't expect it.

Maybe I'll do that. I am in Pennsylvania and maybe when the winter weather comes they won't want to have it sit outside and will lower their price.
