Not a direct answer to your question. Have you considered relocating the sensor itself? I had problems with wire routing and fitment on my '99 corvette. Moving the bungs a few inches was easier than making shielding. It also afforded me an opportunity to make access to the sensors easer from the point of view of maintenance as opposed to factory assembly.

Sounds like an interesting project. Good luck with it

AC Delco are the only ones I use. Possibly Denso. Bosch is prone to drop outs.
