Default Members only?

In reading the postings regarding the absence of the HOTB newsletter, I find something that bothers me. Although not all the non registry member posts on that topic were negative, I do have to ask.....

WHY CAN NON REGISTRY MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE TO, HAVE ACCESS TO, AND PARTICIPATE IN THIS FORUM?

To me, the biggest benefits of being in the Registry are the camaraderie of fellow owners and reading the postings (yes, Frank, I do like the t-shirts too.....).

Should not the ability to post to, and dare I say even have read-only access to, the ZR-1 Registry Forums be restricted to members in good standing?

Non-members can ask questions and post on the "other" forum.....

Perhaps this is a topic that has been beaten to death previously....If so, I apologize for this post and request the moderator delete it....

Default Re: Members only?

the forum is broken into two secitons, one for those of us who didn't reup and then a a private section for those that did. I didn't reup, money was tight when dues were due and i had to drop it...same with my gun club dues. only so much dough to go round. I see the forum as an extension of the list serve, one for paying members and one for non paying.

the registry page is always quoted as being the place to go to get info and then join...I don't think i'd like to end that

No need to apologize, but as you surmised this subject has been discussed before.

Kevin correctly points out there is now a Members Only section to discuss issues related to the club that might not be for public consumption. If you are a current member you should be able to see the section right underneath this one. If not then you should let the membership director know so you can be granted access.

Scott,

I added your ID to the Registry Members Only access list. The Registry Members Only Section of the Forum will appear in the General area of the Forum.
