What is this? turbo?
This car is turbo charged. Is it a dealer option or something?

Re: What is this? turbo?
Looks like a stock 78 pace car to me. A friend has one. Someone stuck some goofy badges on the hood maybe? Doesn't look in good condition.

Re: What is this? turbo?
Yup. An early turbo at that.
Can't be very efficient, note that there is no intake intercooler. Looks like it takes air from the stock looking air filter, spools it up and then pumps it back to the carb. Can't say I've seen this setup before, but looks like it works and truth be told those 78's could use a few extra ponies as the L-82s were only rated at 185hp (175 for California cars). 'Crabs
