Default High Idle problem (where do I start??)

got my Z running last week, it was idling fine then..

Tonight I went to move it to the other stall in the garage for my windshield install.. It would start and idle at 3K

SO where do I start? I am guessing vacuum leak? all the visible vacumm lines seem to be connected fine.. thoughts?

Could be injectors, gasket, rubber boot. Several options. Spray it down with some carb cleaner to track it down. Or block off the air horn and see where the sucking noise comes from.

Injectors are new, so you mean they could be leaking at the IH?

I think the weird thing is it was running fine a few days ago and now not correct at all..

In fact I know the last time I started it, Sat night it Idled fine. I will try the binder trick later this week, it is late here and I will need to have it in the driveway since my wife complains about the smell of the car running int he garage with the *** end pointing out and the door open

Injectors have a high and a low mount point at the top. You put it in the wrong one and the injector seal doesn't seal.

I think I know what it is.. I took the Air duct off and looked at the blades..
the Primary is open more then it should be.. I checked my TPS voltage.. 0.82v

My lower bracket for the ECM (off the Brake Booster is broken) so the ECM was resting on the cruise control controller, which was cauing the TB Blade not to close all the way. I am going to make my own mount bracket for the ECM like I did on my 89 when I converted it, no way I am buying another of those cheap ECM pot metal bracket just so it can break. My Z will never be NCRS anyway so I am not too worried about it. I think if I tried it now it would idle just fine.. but will do it tomorrow as the kids are in bed

Oh yeah, ECM moved and the TPS is at 0.52 and I could see the mechanism move and close..

now to fix the mount

Yeah I figured I would start with the simple (quiet) troubleshooting last night.

I have an Idea for a support bracket, but I need to see if it will work for me..

I might try it tonight, we will see how time is when I get home.

I am getting closer to driving it.. After tomorrow I will need to finish the weather stripping. I have the B pillar installed but not glued yet
