Default What winter projects are you planning for your Beast?

I purchased my 1991 ZR-1 in late summer this year. The PO gave me a list of things that needed repair. I repaired everything on his list. This is the rest of my list I have after spending a couple months working on it & driving it.
My list is long, but almost all of it needs to happen before the next driving season.
** Means I have the materials already.

Replace leaking shocks.
R&R leaking radiator, hoses, Thermostat, temp sw & heater hose coupling.
Remove dash, R&R clogged heater core & blower door actuator.
R&R broken front side light assemblies.**
Polish fog light lens's.**
Replace plug wires & coils, fix oil leak in valley & Vacuum leaks.**
Remove IP & repair Tachometer, replace IP lights.**
Install Viper remote door lock system.**
Remove driver's side dash and replace:
Starter switch**
Ignition switch**
Turn signal switch**
Column pivot from Mark H.
HVAC controller, remove & rebuild**
Install starter circuit relay**
Replace Tack resister to correct**
Replace IP light bulbs
R&R drooping headliner.**
Replace both O2 sensors**
Bleed brakes (fluid is black).**
R&R leaking door seals.
Install new window bumpers.**
Install new shift boots (old ones are stiff & crispy, hard to shift).**
R&R oil bypass valve & oil temp sender.**
Try to find oil leaks & fix.
I would love to swap out the aluminum flywheel & revert back to the dual-mass flywheel & clutch assembly. The knocking & trans noise really bugs me.

How's your list? Short or long? About 80% of my list is absolutely necessary IMHO.

Flyman27.
You have a pretty impressive list there !!

Mine is not nearly so long.
#1- Remove radio receiver & have repaired.
#2- Repair inoperative lumbar pump.
#3- Locate & repair small oil leak.
#4- Detail engine compartment.
#5- Detail underside of vehicle including wheel wells.

I'll probably find more as I go, but will be happy to get these done. Working on it is like a good therapy session !!

Yes Paul, the garage is heated. I installed a small overhead furnace in my garage a few years ago. A "Hot Dawg", I highly recommend them. Pretty inexpensive & heats the garage quickly.
I hope to work on it a little here & a little there, not any marathon sessions. It's work, but I want to enjoy it as much as possible.

My list is in process:
- Replace radio

- Replace one piece of carpet in hatch
- Rear Camber Rods
- Side yoke seals on Differential

- Fix door chime (this one is done)

I am sure I have a list of other things I have put off that I need to do as well

1. Continued cleanup
2. Track down small oil leak
3. Shop for a new radio or upgrade factory unit with modern specs
4. Purchase new glass roof
5. Sort out minor height difference in rear end (Rear spring?)
6. Install new bearings in left headlight, so it rotates smoothly

Winter projects? That's my driving time. I do my projects in the summer when it's too hot to run around with the target off.

Joe,

I suggest the new radio route. If you were going NCRS then stock. But you have changed the color.. go aftermarket. The Sony XAV-AX100 is a nice unit and the XAV-AX200 adds DVD player and SXM. Both have Car Play and Android Auto capability
