Thumbs up valet key tip.....

I have 2 valet keys for the Z and ended up losing one. Went to the local chevy dealer and they were able to make one out of comparison with the remaining one i had. The guy at the parts counter asked what the heck the little key was for "a mini-corvette?". I told him a ZR-1 and he gave me an earful on how he never sees them anymore. He asked if it was for a cargo comparment and i told him it was the engine power key. That refreshed his memory a bit, he had forgotten all about that.

Just wanted to let everyone know that they can duplicate the key.

Old post Iknow..looking at a 90 ZR1 which is missing the valet key..in 'Normal" position at present..Does this post mean a blank door key will work valet switch ? Doubt that..needs individually cut key for each car. How would I replace this missing key..Chevy dealer, other source?

THANKS

Sorta off topic, but on the 90 you can wire a jumper across the two wires going to the switch and the result is it is always on FULL POWER - important for those of us that have yanked all that secondary crapolla.
