Default 02 Sensors

For my LT 5/Camaro project I need two O2 sensors. The O2 sensor on the passenger side interferes with the oil pan on my 700 R4 transmission. I am looking for a shorter sensor. Who makes the best sensor for our motors. Mine is stock with long tube headers. Any recommendations for a short, quality sensor?

Mr. Mitchell.

Not a direct answer to your question. Have you considered relocating the sensor itself? I had problems with wire routing and fitment on my '99 corvette. Moving the bungs a few inches was easier than making shielding. It also afforded me an opportunity to make access to the sensors easer from the point of view of maintenance as opposed to factory assembly.

Sounds like an interesting project. Good luck with it

George

AC Delco are the only ones I use. Possibly Denso. Bosch is prone to drop outs.

I think George's idea of simply moving the bungs makes a lot of sense, especially as I recall all the tales of woe when changing them out on regular ZR-1s. --Bob

I've had good results with the NTK 21003 O2 sensors
