Default Whistle on startup

I am getting a loud whistle when I start my car for the first start of the day. Almost sounds like a supercharger whistle if that makes sense. Goes away after about a minute. The only thing I have changed is the coolant, wondering if there is some air in the system that is cycling out? Any other ideas?

I wonder if it could be your A.I.R. pump running. It runs to help bring the cats up to temp etc. then shuts off.

Can you tell where the sound comes from? Left or right, front or back? The AIR system is a likely candidate, but it runs every time you start the engine. You mentioned the noise happens on the first start of the day.

If you think it is coolant related, start the car with the coolant cap off, but don't run it too long that way.

Does it make a difference if the clutch is in or out?

No change with the clutch. I will try to get some video and will try pulling the radiator cap too.

Try starting with AC turned off. If that stops the noise its refrigerant noise.

It might be normal, just curious what is causing it.

AIR system most likely... same with my '91. You can probably feel the pump vibrating when it's operating and change when it turns off.

To bad Bogie isn't still with us. A lot of us remember how well he handled incounters involving whistles.
