Default MR4!

Just rec'd my "101 Rides" map of the Great Smokey Mt area (south of Knoxville). Wow! There are a gazillion roads to explore over there! Getting the map, and looking over all the possible roads "as yet unexplored" has got me all keyed up for the next MR; can hardly wait!

Some of the GS Registry joined in last year, which made it even more fun - what a good group!!

IS IT SPRING YET??????

Not quite !!!! High temp at my mountain home was 23 today ... snow/ice forecast for Mon & Tue. Wonder if my Z has enough torque to pull those mountain roads covered with the white stuff

I'm working on routes right now and will be posting updated info in a couple of days ... be sure to bookmark the MR4 thread (I think it's a sticky). And yes, I'm getting really pumped for some mountain roads, wonderful scenery, and great friends to share it with.

I gather you guys are opening it up to ALL C4s, is that right? Fine by me - the more the merrier! Soon as ya land a venue (home base of activities) Ami and I are IN!

Is there any overflow that you and George could use a hand with? Ready, willing, n able!

Definitely open to all C4's ... the final route(s) take us to Bowling Green for pizza at the U-Plaza followed by the annual C4 Gathering at the National Corvette Museum.

To further clarify (as well as a recap of the past mountain runs) ...
MR1 - the original seven ZR-1's (Magnificent 7)
MR2- 15 cars, all C4's & mostly ZR-1's
MR3- 36 cars, a number of C4's, at least one C5 (my ZO6), a number of C6's (the Grand Sport folks who owned an original C4 GS and have added to their stable) plus a couple of C7 ZO6's.

I think it's safe to say that anyone driving a Corvette will not be turned away

Actually, if someone shows up with something other than a Corvette I'll loan them my license plate frame that says "I'd rather be driving my Corvette" and let them ride tail gunner and pay for all the tickets

Seriously, anyone planning to make the trip needs to visit the MR4 thread (it's a sticky in the General Postings section), post up and let us know. And if you know anyone who has never made the Mountain Run, call or email them and tell them all about it. It's going to be a great ride this year with some new roads to explore and will serve as the perfect beginning of the C4 Gathering in BG.

Since you will have an excellent navigator/co-pilot will you be able to lead one of the groups?

Sure!! We'll do our best! That's not to say we won't make any unplanned detours, but as long as we don't hear any banjo music...and even if we do...it's all part of the adventure, right!?
