Default 1990 ZR1 Assembly Line Air Filter

I recently purchased a 43 original mile 90 ZR1 from the original owner. He changed the oil, oil filter, radiator fluid and air filter once/year. He kept, what he thought, was the original air filter which, came with the car.

Here is the filter...can anyone confirm it is an assembly line item?

Thanks,

Mark

Date code doesn't appear to be what I might expect on a '90. I believe that I've read that maybe the early '90 - '92 production filters maybe didn't have date codes. I've never seen the M mentioned in date coding. Customary AC Delco on filter media I thought was for later 90's production. The 6F19 aspect of the date code seems to hint later production. 6 - YEAR, F - MONTH, 19 - DAY & M - UNKNOWN (I've only seen D - DAY and N - NIGHT for shift). I might have expected the M in later production to have actually ID'd the plant rather than a shift.

There should be some NCRS veterans around that can answer as to authenticity.

Here's a snapshot I snagged of what I would have expected.

Here's a NOS offering from 2016. Better/larger snapshots of product.

Here is the absolute correct information.
This is from a person far more experienced than I.
You can take it to the bank!

"It is an AC DELCO replacement air filter, not an original one. This filter has a date code of June 1996. If judged it would fall under the standard deduction.
They have to say ACSPARKPLUG and the appropriate part number of A1097C and the color is different that the later AC Rochester air filters and in 1994 a date code started to appear that was not present in the early air filters."

Thank you all. The original owner was unsure about its originality. Looks like I'm on the lookout for that perfect assembly line original.
Again, thanks
Mark

What is the status of the oil filter? Do you have the alleged original?

As stated above; the original owner says the oil filter was changed seasonally. If that is accurate, the vehicle is on its 26th oil filter. He did tell me the original oil filter and battery were not saved. He went on to say; he wishes he had saved the original battery.
