Yup - bumped to 200 #-ft many years ago ... at least 10, maybe more.

Bumped by whom?

I'm in there often enough I hesitate to overstress things. On the other hand if that will help keep them from relaxing or otherwise self destructing I'm all ears...

Thanks,

My understanding is the factory revised the torque spec. My last rear bearings were torqued to 170 and left side developed the dreaded clanking. Been using 190-200 since then.

A few years ago the National Federal Mogual bearings came with installation instructions for 190lb. So far they have lasted a long time, but they will still loosen when tracking the car. I've had to retorque them probably 10 times.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the new torque setting of 200 ft/lbs. Job is done and all is great. The ZR is down for the winter. It will be probably be for sale in the spring for $ 13,000.00. Sooner if you have a car carrier and live in the NE.

Cheers,

Don
