I really like yellow on a C4. And, I think gray interior goes well with yellow.

If it were me, and I had the means, I would do it

8k for a paint job and it`ll be yellow and gray? You`ll get sick of that very soon.

I don't know. I have had a Competition Yellow '95 since 2012 and absolutely love the color. I have never gotten sick of it. I actually like it more over time...it makes many other colors seem, well, boring!

I do like red, but it is nice to see ZR-1's every once in a while that aren't that color.

I might have a tough time changing a lower mile Z to a different color however. In the end, it's your car.

This is the only way to paint a car. If you have no plans to sell the car I'd say go for it but repainting a perfect paint car would be a tough one but you're the one that has to look at it every day. If you can swing a wrench you could save a little by doing the disassembly and reassembly. Plan on spending for a choice job $10k on up. If the money was there I'd like to paint my white 91 a fine metallic silver-pewter. I think this would really pop with the the red interior. And to me in order to get the surface to look factory I wouldn't want the paint cut and buffed. Maybe a very mild cut with 2500 to knock down anything on the surface and then bring out the shine. Got to have a touch of peel to it.

I had a 1972 454 Coupe with pewter color. Absolutely loved the color. The metallic flashed green with silver & accented the body lines. It had red vinyl interior. The color looked good with pewter, but I redid the interior in black deluxe trim, mainly to get a more plush interior.

My 2 cents is I would keep what you have and advertise. One of mine is a 90 red/black. Nothing special. I want a steel blue or black rose, but i wouldn't change the color. I'll find one or both sooner or later. That's the originalist in me though. I want them the way they came from factory.
