Flat spotting occurs when the tires are parked for a long time and not due to alignment. Once they heat up after traveling a few miles, it goes away.

The tool at the link in the first post is pretty expensive and it won't work unless 1) your garage floor or driveway is very smooth and level.
The product at the other link, to quick trick alignment tools, looks like it would work easier but, again, you have to have a floor that's level.
