Hello.

Looking for a camshaft position sensor for my 1991 ZR-1 # 10096172

Is there an alternative for the sensor that is no longer available ?

or can the old defective one be repaired

I just made an odd discovery. While looking for something in my Z stash I found my original OEM CAMSHAFT SENSOR. There is a guy on Facebook that had an oil leak in this area. In this post on Facebook somebody mentioned they had the same leak and replaced it with the identical sensor that cost $38.00 shipped to my door. Other than 1727 printed under the main part number of 55505-00-02-A
When I replaced mine a few years ago I could only find an AIRTEX replacement and it was $200. GM hasn't had these for a few years now. Is it possible I may have found the deal of the century? Mouser has this for $28.00 with free shipping. I couldn't get the the order straight so I bought one for $38.00 shipped.
This is too easy,something can't be right here. I bought my 91 with 6900 miles and this bus the CAMSHAFT SENSOR I replaced. I can't remember how to load pictures.
