I see. So your just removing the rheostat and float from the SW frame and attaching it in place of the OEM rheostat.

I found the existing mount area to flimsy so I reinforced with the SW mount bracket

A big thank you to the gentleman from Washington who sold me a used sending unit for the ZR-1. I put high flow Walbro pumps in it and it goes back in the car on Thursday. Then off to the South Texas ZR-1 BBQ on Friday!!! You gotta love this spring weather :-)

If secondary port throttles are removed we can use a regular single pump C4 sending unit with better pump.

Now that’s interesting, tell me more... what size pump and does the programming need to be changed.

You will need to use a couple of clamps to mount the pump to the sending unit.
It could be done and with this pump http://walbrofuelpumps.com/450lph-wa...f90000267.html should be plenty to hadle anything.
I'm thinking of going that route.

Yes, i would reprogram the chip for no secondaries.

Cool, already lost my secondaries and tuned appropriately. Have to look into that.

I ran this pump in my Subaru STI. I had to hardwire it to get the best performance out of it. That was just because of the fuel controller they used for the stock pump though. I don't know if the z has that or not? It did exactly what is was supposed to do though. Was a great pump.
