I had my e-prom modded again. Nothing wrong with the Haibeck chip but when SGC did my engine work Aaron programmed it to meet the mods.

I just realized that I could now vote in this poll....

I have a standard Marc Haibeck chip in my 90.....boy I still can't figure out why I waited 5 yrs to get one! Marc's cooling fan protocol is worth it! :fahne:

Remove the ECM, flip it over, remove the cover and look at the chip.

Also, if ship-shift has been disabled or the cooling fans come on at lower temperatures than stock are both clues that the ECM has an aftermarket cal in it.

Re: Which Performance Chip do you have?

Thanks Hib. What should the chip look like? Skip shift is unplugged, but the light still comes on. Fan's seem to come on way hotter than I would like. My driveway is 3/4 mile long. At an idle down my dirt drive it seems to get real hot.

They usually do not have the OE broadcast code stickers on them. Also, many aftermarket chips have a label with the vendors name on it.

If your 1-to-4 light still comes on and the fan strategy is as listed in the Service Manual, you likely do not have an aftermarket cal.

At this point, some of the best aftermarket cals come from Marc Haibeck. I think, he advertises on the Registry site. He has a web site at: www.zr1specialist.com

Thanks Hib, I'll check it out. I've been to Marc's site often. He has helped me out on a few times via e-mail.
