I lost a 6" long ratchet handle for my 1/4" drive socket set - slipped out of my hand and disappeared between the tunnel and the bell housing while attempting to tighten the DIS connector at the back of the motor. It never hit the floor, but in spite of me climbing under to look, use a loop of string to swipe the top of the bell housing, a couple hours round and round again in all...I never found it! It just vaporized!

And, a black hole for long tube header bolts is the pocket formed by the four pipes where they join the collector section. (ask me how I know!:o)

I found a 3/8 drive with a spark plug socket in the middle of the Highway!!!

Now that sounds like a useful tool, where did you find it?

Ya Lee, I'm working on it, but some Idiot forgot to order the gasket for the throttle body to plenum......

Just finished making one. Hopefully will have fire in the hole tonite!!!!!!!!!

(As I look outside at the snowflakes coming down.... Major snowstorm expected today and tomorrow... Should make for an interesting test drive.)

I think it was a Pep Boys. I wish I could remember and find another one. The LED LIGHT is great. I use it to pull spark plugs out of the wells..

Well, It's Alive!!!!!

Got everything buttoned up, filled with antifreeze.

Hooked up the battery, and it started just like I was driving it yesterday.

Absolutely smooth, no leaks, no codes, no problems so far.

Left the rad cap off while it was warming up, until the bubbles quit coming.

The snow is starting to pile up pretty good, don't think I could make it back up the driveway, if I was to try and go for a spin. So just ran it until the oil temp started to register, then shut down.

Looks Great..

Thanks for all your excellent work and Thanks for all your help.

It took awhile, but We "gotter dun"..

Would have been nice to get some miles on it, but I think winter is here now.

But then, already got the Plenum and IH off, might as well get them ported..

The finish on the Plenum was showing its age, So Powder Coat looks good..

The injectors were still the stock injectors, so might as well while I'm there..

Started reading about the secondary throttle system... Hmmm good time as any....

Well I guess I have to reprogram to delete the secondaries, OK new chip with all the goodies..

Stainless bolts would look good on the new Powder Coat...

Thanks go to Lgaff and Jerry's Gaskets for their Great service and assistance.

Then Work got in the way, (I work away from home for about a month at a time)

So what started as a $3.00 repair in June, cost a bit more than expected and took a bit longer to accomplish.

But hearing it fire up tonite was worth it..

No snappics? And how many miles on yours?

Yeah - I got some phone time from Jerry - thanks to him for that...

I might regret not doing any more than I have, but now I won't be afraid to dig in, and worry about dirt contamination... Can't wait to hear my own twister spool up soon here. Tune BEFORE mods is my rule. Gotta' have baseline specs first; otherwise you never know what's wrong afterward!

Ok, Here's the culprit that started it all: $3.00 set of contacts....

The motor, Ported Intake and IH's with Powder Coat by LGAFF; Very nice stock looking colour. Topped off with the Mercruiser tag on the map sensor

Thanks Lee for your excellent work and all your help.

The heads were bore matched to the intakes and the secondaries removed.

A new chip was burned to run all the injectors all the time and a bunch of other tweaks I know nothing about..

S.S. injectors and S.S. bolt kit from Jerry's Gaskets.

The car already had the SLP intake, Long tube headers, full 3 inch exhaust, and a light weight flywheel with heavy duty clutch.
