1967 AC Cobra SC427
Everett-Morrison Body & Chassis This Cobra was completed t in 1998 using 1990-95 Corvette ZR-1 drivetrain & suspension components. It’s essentially a ZR-1 Corvette with a 1967 Cobra body & Interior. The car weights about 2600lbs and has approximately 12,000 miles on it. It has the typical stone chips on the rear fender flares from street driving and 2 stress cracks in the body however the car still looks beautiful. The car is very enjoyable to drive, both in ride comfort and exhibits excellent performance. • 1990 LT5 375HP Engine – professionally overhauled – now makes 440 HP o All new & main 7 rod bearings (std size) o new pistons, rings, and cylinders o new timing chains and wear guides o Cylinder heads and Injectors housing are ported o Ported intake manifold, throttle body extension o Secondary throttle plates are removed (have these parts for reinstallation if desired). Engine now runs 100% of the time on both intake ports o Hi quality multi-angle valve job – new valve stem seals, springs o Ceramic coated stainless steel stepped headers 1.75 to 2.0” primaries o Under chassis exhaust system • Brand new (1995 late design level) ZF 6 speed manual transmission & shifter • OE Valeo dual mass flywheel with ZR1 pressure plate (heaver duty than LT1) and Valeo OE clutch disc o Hydraulic clutch actuation • IRS Dana 44 all aluminum rear axle & half shafts. Professionally overhauled o New Dana 3.73:1 ring gear, posi-clutch plates, and bearing / seals o Dana Synthetic lube o New Slicer U-joints on each half shaft o New steel driveshaft with Spicer u-joints o 12” brakes with aluminum PBR calipers • Complete ZR-1 Corvette front subframe assembly o Powder coated o Aluminum upper & lower control arms, aluminum spindles o OE power steering rack & pinion gear o 13” Powerstop rotors with aluminum PBR powder coated calipers Performance friction pads Power brake booster • Penske “Performance Choice” cockpit adjustable front & rear shocks • Custom tuned fiberglass transverse springs front & rear • 3 piece Compomotive Aluminum wheels o 17” x 8 front P245 o 17” x 12” rear P315 o Goodyear GSC “Gatorback” tires • Griffin aluminum radiator – 2 rows of 1.25” tubes • 2 Speed electric cooling fan • Custom aluminum fuel tanks with 255 liter electric Walbro fuel pump • Heater option • Glove box option • Windshield wipers • Stainless steel roll bar • Stainless steel front and rear bumpers with overriders • Side door impact beams (inside fiberglass doors) • Safety cage surrounds cockpit • Tan leather seats and instrument panel • Registered with Everett-Morrison VIN (not State “kit-car” VIN) |
