Using the larger shims actually moves the caliper closer to the Wheel Spokes.

Did you use any shims to align the Brake Pads on the Wear Surface of the Rotors (The small shims)?

The need for shims varies from wheel to wheel. Wilwood provides 12 large shims (.015") and 16 small shims (.025") with each 140-8337 Brake Kit.

Cliff must have, I had my guy install em and I am certain he used those shims. To me wheel spacers means something else but everything fit behind a set of 17 inch FM5s. I was the first to do that mod as nobody knew if they would fit. I bought my first set used from set from guy from Craigslist in Florida who also advertised on Corvette forum. He had em behind a stock 94 Corvette but took them off before he sold the car and they were HEAVILY discounted by more than 50% new.

So everything arrived well packaged but in a jumble box of parts and no instructions. So I downloaded the PDF and handed it off to my trusted mechanic. So just like a glutton for punishment I had to pay full boat for the rears and the speadshop rear parking brake solution I was lucky to find used on corvette forum as well. By the time I was done it was a very pricey mod for the whole car. However, it stops on a dime and the parking brake function is/was retained.

Someday my sons will appreciate all the effort lol. GC

Here is the REAR money shot.
