Tom,

That looks like a very unmolested 54?? Panel fit is how they came in that era. It might be a NCRS Survivor candidate.

Tom, Thanks for posting and as usual Tom is always around to help when needed. I can't thank him enough.
John, I have Drew going over there with me to crawl in the exhaust & out the carb. You know he loves that. It will be interesting to see what he has to say. I checked most of the numbers on it & it is all there.
Brett, You are close it is like 3007. The glass is dated June 1954. We will get in touch with you as we start to dig into this and as we build a laundry list of parts.
I love finding stuff like this!!! :dancing:dancing

I'm surprised tha tthe car has a dual pot air cleaner with that vin #.
I'm always glad to help. If it's a part that I don't maunfacture, I can find a used part for you. Parts is my thing!!!

Well I spoke with Lou last night and the car is being cleaned up by the new owner. He said that with a bit of elbow grease the trim/chrome is coming back to life! He even started on cleaning the interior and it's even looking better. Mike, the new owner, is even thinking that the mechanical work is doable without farming it out. I told Lou that we should be able to handle a chevy 6 and a power glide!:p

I will try to go get some new picts and update this thread, maybe this weekend.

If it's been sitting for a long time, the carbs should be rebuilt. The diaphrams dry rot. Also, it would be a good idea to rebuild the fuel pump. A nice strong fuel pump is a good idea. Kind of a "pay me now or pay me in just a short time period". LOL

Yea, you're right I think if they haven't been done they should be done. Whose carbs are they anyway....I'm not gonna get lucky and they will be Holleys, or am I? They are side drafts right? Oh no not SU's???? I don't have a uni-sync either...I may be in over my head on this part! Would two vac gauges be okay, they both run all the time, or is it 1* and a 2* carb set up? Jez for an old car this sure gets complicated quickly!

I'll check to see as it has a new fuel pump installed and I would figure that the carbs would have been gone thru when the F/P was installed. Well that's what I would have done anyway.
