Re: Corvette Museum
With enough money; it can!!!
There have been succsessful restorations from much worse!!!!! |
Re: Corvette Museum
I agree John, anything is repairable, but that thing is hammered and no parts you can get off the shelf for that....finding the convertible stuff from ASC might not be easy either, although there is an L98 or LT-1 version somewhere

Re: Corvette Museum
I see absolutely no problem. If a totally smashed and squashed beyond recognition prototype ZR-1 from UK can be "restored" and claimed as a ZR-1 then ANYTHING is possible.
Imagine the bragging rights. "Here is the resurrected Spider ZR-1 from the sink hole. " It' s a great Easter lead in. Quote:

Re: Corvette Museum
I'd bring it back to life if given the opportunity.
EX5023 is not a ZR-1. It's a King Of The Hill Proof of Concept Prototype. The term ZR-1 wasn't coined at the time the car was built. Though it "is" what started it all for the wide bodies that we call ZR-1's. :flag: http://i60.tinypic.com/k3q68l.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/1rstqf.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/mujrdt.jpg http://i58.tinypic.com/de8xz8.jpg |

Lee, I'll be making the molds for my Conv next month. Would only have to make the deck lid and behind-between the seats pcs and side gills. C'mon down to Pendleton and we'll give it a go! |

Re: Corvette Museum
man, that is hammered. I never thought it would be so bad. what was on top of it that destroyed it so badly?? I guess the earth swallowed it up and crushed it. It is done. I would still take the rims and tires! very, very sad.

Re: Corvette Museum
That car was my favorite. Seeing it like that makes me sick to my stomach. :(
