Well, after 2 years of ownership I finally noticed a little starting in the upper DS corner while washing it yesterday. Cant complain, its 17 yrs old, none of the chips or pitting has cracked YET so this doesnt bother me.

Car is always covered and garaged fwiw.

90 and have delam in upper corners

my 90 had a little de-lam but also had a 45° crack in the upper RH corner so i changed it out for a standard shield. i would have maybe put one of KW's in but he was a long way from getting those underway at the time. my 93 Ruby has some de-lam, not real bad but not great either:dontknow: my 95 had a standard shield in when i bought it. found out it was put in under warrenty in 2000. was actually six years from the in service date? i'm guessing they agreed to put a regular shield in just to keep the guy happy at that point, but i'm not 100% sure of anything on that deal.

It's interesting that the '95 at the Museum even has delamination. Given that it has been in a climate controlled environment "from birth" I think, that would seem to rule out environmental conditions as a contirbutor to this issue with ZR-1 shields.

My '91 has a little on each side. I guess if Cindy Crawford can have a mole, Zees can have some delam!

My '92 has it, but the car wears it as a badge of honor, like the chips on the clam shell and the 106,000 miles!

This windshield is now in the trash. Replaced it with one of the Saint-Gobains from a few years ago.

This '95 only has 14K on it, and spent most of its life in the garage. I believe a solvent was used to clean the solar shield during the lamination process, and the solvent caused the delamination. I say this because of the streaks I could see all over the glass. It looked like I just wiped off my windshield with a dirty rag, but the streaks were between the layers.

It's hard to see because of the reflections, but there are streaks all over the glass, and you can see delamination all around the perimeter and even around the radar cutout.

I just picked up 1992 #043 -- some delamination. It's noticeable but it looks much worse in the picture!
