Re: Did the OBX headers fit or what???
Why did it look as if the D/S header hung lower than the P/S in one of the previous posts? I am assuming these are 2" primaries?

Re: Did the OBX headers fit or what???
How hard are the headers to install? Are all the bolts accessible and what type of bolts are those that you used?
thanks |
Re: Did the OBX headers fit or what???
I just bought a set of OBX's and I plan to have them Jet Hot coated.

Re: Did the OBX headers fit or what???
I installed a set of OBX, with WAZOO help, on a 94. I love them!
I had a chance to compare OBX to SW side by side. All tube bends are pretty much identical. Only difference is OBX collectors are about 10" forward and OBX comes w/ glasspacks that looks like metallic cats. These glass packs can be replaced w/ metallic cats if needed w/ minor mod. Cats should work better since being closer to exhaust ports should heat up better. Quality is as good as any other headers I have seen. |
Re: Did the OBX headers fit or what???
Did the dip stick tube need relocated for OBX?

Yes - I used a relocation bracket and all went smoothly. Also used Stage 8 bolts. By the way -do yourself a favor and get a set of gaskets from Jerry's. OBX gaskets are 8 rectangular individual pieces - one per port. Got to be a real PITA to use. |

Thanks for the tips. Pete will be doing the install, so I bet he already has a parts list for me to buy. |

Re: Did the OBX headers fit or what???
Hey Kevin, why would you look for a used set...they sure arent going to be any cheaper than these. The way I see it, a company that makes a quality product at an affordable price is a win win for all. why not support them?
Secondchance, thanks for the tips and report.. These are definitely on the buy list as soon as I get the top end finished. |
