Re: Coil Over Installation

Little bit of advice and something that I hope I contribute to anyone installing "anything" (coilovers):

Have all of the parts prior to tearing your car apart. I was trying to wait until I was finished to post up the results. I decided too late to have parts machined as opposed to modifying the car. Carter is awesome and working my parts into his business/schedule. My wife is about to kill me as I have two cars not driven in two months--one is locked in behind this one.

Any who, here's two pictures of the front pieces. They are a work of art! No my car is not detailed--it is a driver. I cleaned/detailed it once and didn't drive it for five months if a cloud was in the sky. What I wanted was a way to not modify the car too much. What you see below is a mounting block to relocate the front sway bar mounting location to clear the coil. Only change needed is the rear, tapped hole needs moved forward 1/4 inch. I used (thanks locobob) a smaller, more compact Energy Suspension mounting bracket.

OK,
You've all now seen one of the items we are using. I'm swamped with work right now but promised Demps I would fit his needs in as I could. We still have the front items to go and that will happen very soon. I'm working as fast as I can to complete Demp's items. I've lost many jobs recently do to lack of their patience and I appreciate Demp's situation, especially when it comes to wifes and there lack of humor :eusa_shhh
Hang in there as this will be well worth it, Carter
