Quick/connect to T Stat housing pix
 
Looking for some sort of assembly picture of these two connectors if any one knows where I can find one.Thanks

Here's the t'stat housing from Jerrys. The red "cap-plug" pointed towards 12:00 uses a black nylon retainer to retain it to the hose like the retainer pictured in the nipple that threads in.

If you need a second black retainer you shouldn't have trouble locally. It's a GM # 10089613 and I'm sure Jerry should have that also. If you need another snapshot of it assembled I can probably post one in the AM.

Did you get yourself another nipple? How difficult was your removal of the destroyed nipple. If you're curious how to release the the clips you should be able to just squeeze the black retainer at the points that are quite obvious in Jerry's image. One should have came with your nipple if you've already received it.

Thanks trying to find out are there two O rings I know one fitting has one.

The sealing surface in the nipple isn't serviced separately and I've never seen an attempt to service it. Your question seems to be directed towards the heater hose that runs from the housing at 12:00. I believe I'd assemble it with a new retainer and rely on the seal that's there. Could you remove it and use an "off the shelf" seal of some sort? I can't answer that but I'd guess yes. Perhaps you could use a pic and remove the seal from your old nipple and look more closely at it. Yours is an interesting question for sure.

Here's how I'm "assuming" the female coupling on the hose that connects to the male portion at 12:00 is assembled. This is how it was done on medium duty trucks of same time. I don't know that I would want to tamper with the items 15 - 18 in this image. I'm researching it a bit more for you.

Have you or are your intentions to remove the complete housing to remove the remnants of your nipple that's broken off?

Great technical information there WVZR-1......appreciate the detail.

I am assuming the Heater Hose Connection is something like this....
Does this mean you can "release" the heater hose from the connector?

I am thinking this Connector (with black insert) is actually the Heater coolant (hot coolant) to the Heater. The Connector with red cap (on thermostat housing) is Coolant Returning from Heater to the Thermostat Housing.

Large diameter pipe with red cap is cooled Coolant from radiator.
Small diameter pipe with red cap is cool coolant from Heater.
Small diameter Connector with black insert is Hot coolant going to Heater.
Large diameter pipe with no cap is coolant returning to Water Pump.
Medium diameter pipe to right with no cap is coolant return from Injector Housings (recirculated coolant) when end of thermostat is open by pressure (not temperature).

Yes all apart , I used ez out and then chased it, new one from jerrys already in just need to install on car, thanks for the help, diagrams help greatly.

Yes - and I believe I'd suggest the OP use a new retainer in the "female" receptacle on the other hose and NOT tamper with it otherwise. The "noun names" for 15 - 18 are 15(insulator), 16(seal), 17(spacer) and 18(top-hat) and of course aren't service parts. I don't believe I'd chance ruining any of those in an attempt to remove the seal to service it.
