Eclipse.....

Where I'm at in Southern Illinois, total totality hit around 1:20 central time.....I drove my Beast to work with but glad I didn't drive it too where we went.....I've been sitting in traffic for an hour lol. But I have never experienced something like that. The cosmos is an amazing thing. Picture don't do it justice just how dark it got out.....Attachment 6466Attachment 6467Attachment 6468Attachment 6469Attachment 6470

Sat in the front yard and watched, but was only 96% here.

We had about 60% here. Just kinda' get a weird color out.
2024 (7 years from now) we get a total about 3 hours north of me. My brother owns a rental right in the path. Anybody in the States wants to see the total then, that's the only place in the states it will be total.

Nice article.

My wife and I got to view the eclipse through the special glasses we bought a few months back. Was amazing, even though 96% where we are.

Just 89.2% here. Cleaned the lens on my arch welding helmet, folding chairs at the ready, counting down the minutes...a friggin thunder shower moved in - couldn't see a bit of the eclipse - just got a little darker is all... Rats. Well, it did clear off in time to see the last 1/4 of the eclipse disappear. Big let-down....
