:-DI have 90 ZR1 #843 with no delamation, but it has very low mileage, and stays in the garage all the time. Maybe this has something to do with it.

Doesn't matter, The last ZR-1 has been in the museum from day one and it has the worst delam. From my experience the 90's seem to have less delam problems than the 91-95 cars.

I have some delam, but it is very slight. Hardly noticeable at all...for now, anyway.

I have delam on my 95. I have seen worse and I have seen better just tired of people telling me my windsheild is dirty.:mad:

My '93 has some, but it's relatively minor and only around the edges that you can see it (so far).

Not yet on my 90.....that is it isn't noticable unless you look at the right angle for it. Tiny bubble-like formations can be seen in the right light and at the right angle....almost looks like streaks from a bad wiper blade. I can even see them from the inside of the car when I clean the glass, the Stoners makes them show up till you wipe it off.

Oh well, 22K miles and if it gets to where I can't see I'll do something about it. Until then I'll just drive & have fun!:mrgreen:

Update :) 6 yrs down the road & another 22k miles added on to Her.
64k now and the bubble streaks have not worsened, still need moisture & the right angle to see them from inside the car. Can't be seen from a driving position & not visible from outside. The edges are starting to show a very little bit in the corners. Oh well, nothing lasts forever.

I have a 94 second windshield with delam. Was replaced for bad delam.
Guess I have to live with it.

90 with no delam at all and a 93 with very slight delam around the edges. I do have a perfect 92-95 windshield with 0 delam.

i have slight delam on both sides...for various reasons,my windshield could be a 90,i havent check the date-if there is one.:???:

I am sure it will bring a hefty price if you decide to sell it, but you might want to keep it for future needs.

I would consider selling it. I have shipped one to California...had it professionally created and it arrived in perfect condition.

Has anyone noticed that the data shows some thing interesting. All the years except 1990 are showing more delaminations than not. 1990 is the opposite by a long shot. Many more good windshields than delams. Wonder if something changed in production along the line?

I checked that my 92 has delam, even though my windhsield has been replaced.

It was replaced, as I was told, for delam.

Interesting coincidence: 93, 94 & 95 all have 4 with delam & all had same number made ea year!

I have a 90 with no delam and a 91 with delam
After seeing the last built 95 ZR-1 at NCM with delam I am convinced it is caused by bad sealling of the original glass layers??

Any real knowledge out there??:blahblah:

Well, after 2 years of ownership I finally noticed a little starting in the upper DS corner while washing it yesterday. Cant complain, its 17 yrs old, none of the chips or pitting has cracked YET so this doesnt bother me.

Car is always covered and garaged fwiw.

my 90 had a little de-lam but also had a 45° crack in the upper RH corner so i changed it out for a standard shield. i would have maybe put one of KW's in but he was a long way from getting those underway at the time. my 93 Ruby has some de-lam, not real bad but not great either:dontknow: my 95 had a standard shield in when i bought it. found out it was put in under warrenty in 2000. was actually six years from the in service date? i'm guessing they agreed to put a regular shield in just to keep the guy happy at that point, but i'm not 100% sure of anything on that deal.

It's interesting that the '95 at the Museum even has delamination. Given that it has been in a climate controlled environment "from birth" I think, that would seem to rule out environmental conditions as a contirbutor to this issue with ZR-1 shields.

My '91 has a little on each side. I guess if Cindy Crawford can have a mole, Zees can have some delam!

My '92 has it, but the car wears it as a badge of honor, like the chips on the clam shell and the 106,000 miles!

This windshield is now in the trash. Replaced it with one of the Saint-Gobains from a few years ago.

This '95 only has 14K on it, and spent most of its life in the garage. I believe a solvent was used to clean the solar shield during the lamination process, and the solvent caused the delamination. I say this because of the streaks I could see all over the glass. It looked like I just wiped off my windshield with a dirty rag, but the streaks were between the layers.

It's hard to see because of the reflections, but there are streaks all over the glass, and you can see delamination all around the perimeter and even around the radar cutout.

I just picked up 1992 #043 -- some delamination. It's noticeable but it looks much worse in the picture!
