It would be nice if any of the FBI could stop in and see the western caravan at my place before the gathering?? nice 4 hour drive, with only one run over 55 mph...

I'm still on the fence about the event. If I do end up going, I'll be heading down Thursday morning from central IL.

Looks like the Caravan will be getting to my place on Monday, with some leaving Tuesday, I will not be able to get out of there until wed. sometime perhaps even thursday 4 me.

So, now that i've confused the hell out of you, here it is in a nutshell.

Caravan arrives, Lake St Louis, Monday, stay the night, some with me, some in nearby hotel.
Some of the group will hang out on Tuesday, some will leave with the western group for Bowling Green.
I will have to determine whether i can go with the group, or hang out and leave for BG either wed or thurs.

If you leave on Thursday, maybe Pete, I, and anyone else from Chicagoland can meet up with you on the way there depending on your route.

PS. Dom, thanks for the leads on the FW bolts and the clutch disc. Got 'em both on order. Just about ready to turn the corner and start putting 'er back together. I wuz hoping to get my 4.10s in before the BG GTG...Have to wait and see what happens $$$ wise. Getting her runnin' and tuned comes first, I recon.

There is a group of Z brothers in SE MN planning on making the BG trip, and one expressed an interest to me about possibly joining up w/ those of us making the trip and caravan down together.

An open question to the FBI gang: Is there anything like a consensus yet on when most of us are planning on driving down? Anything yet like a rallying point?

Sounds like maybe Thursday morning might be when most intend to head south, no?

I'd say Thursday should be the working date for any kind of meet up. As far as where to meet, that depends on who's going and which way we're headed(ie 65 or 57).

Re: Chicagoland 20th BG Caravan

All I can say is 57 will make for a longer drive then going to 65

I was reading the GS Forum and it appears we can run during T&T's. Below is the schedule. Right now the NCM schedule has us running on Thursday. The Gathering has the Jingles Run scheduled all day too. Will we be going on Thursday as the schedule shows? I know several had problems getting there for that day.

Not wanting to miss seeing the FBI racing in Thursday, as it stands now, I (we) will prolly be leaving sometime after work on WED. I expect to cut across to I-65 and drop down from there. We'd love to caravan with at least a few members of the Brotherhood. It is about a 6 hour hike from my house (I live near Wilmington IL), so we could time it to arrive early Thursday morning - that way one could get a nap before heading out on the adventure Thursday around midnight (final departure details are still flexible)!

It's getting exciting now!

Hey Paul. Just wanted to update everyone on the change of plans for the MN crew. My car is still being put back together down at Corey's place so we are going to head down to New Braunfels, TX over the mothers day weekend and then leave from Texas to come up to bowling green. We should be in town late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Its been a couple years for us. Look for a big tri-axle black trailer being hauled by a black F350 crew cab. We are going to be staying at the u-plaza.

regards,

Paul

As of right now, we have 4 Z's- 3 on the pavement and one on a trailer, going down on Wednesday between noon and one. :iroc:

Starting at North Ave and 355, I'm going to jump on board some where south, maybe 80, maybe 294. If anyone is interested I'll keep you posted.
