I expect that's probably about the cheapest 30ish HP one can add.

I like this deal - but am putting off for my winter project, will definitely want to discuss options in the fall.

Re: Ported Intake

I keep thinking of these but am having a kind of classical year - you know, "baroque". OTOH I did skip buying tires this season so as to be able to address some things on the car.

Can you tell me what the change is from the porting to the head on a 91? By race class rules I can only go 1 inch into the head, and I worry that an aggressively ported IH/Plenum might make too big a step to take up in an inch.

Not to mention how would you go about making the shape to take up the step - a conical hone type of thing??

Has anyone ever bolted the likes of these on a virgin head? What kind of gains can be expected with the stock heads?

I would love to make these work; what the heck the rules allow it.... They'd even save a few pounds up high!

Thanks,
- Jeff

Re: Ported Intake

The secondaries start out as 36mm on the cylinder head side. You can do port match and keep it within an inch. It all helps. I had 36mm porting on top end with a port match at the head. Still developed ~399rwhp.

Hi:
Do you also do the same for 93-95 (the pre-ported parts in exchange for stock) ?

Re: Ported Intake

Do you offer the same type exchange for 93-95?

LGAFF 10-05-2011 06:31 PM

Re: Ported Intake

If I had a set of 93-95 IHs and plenum I would do the exchange, but I do not. And buying a set is pricey....I would be willing to do a set over the winter, but I work and do not want to make a promise I can't keep in terms of time line.

Couldn't agree more... Pete is "da man" on heads.

Re: Ported Intake

1)just wrapped up another set, I believe its sold....I was alittle slow in getting this one done, so waiting to confirm buyer is ready.

2)I already have another IH done so an only a plenum and IH set away from having another one done...let me know if anyone is interested.

3)I also have a IH set already ported with the IH boss taken down greatly on the 2ndry. These require a different injector, which I have the 8 already, if anyone is interested in these, they would flow more than most 36mm ports and would do them + the plenum/injectors for $850.00 on exchange ....these are powercoated silver(never mounted) and could get the plenum PC and or the rest of your parts PCd for a good price.

Re: Ported Intake

I have a set of ported IHs, when you port these often you nick the O-ring area....on this set I opened one up alittle more than normal.....but it remains sealed and dones not vac leak, I tested it at 25 mmHG. More of a mental thing I would rather not tell someone after they pay for it...

I will stand behind it 100% for as long as you own the car.

Will do a core exchange at $625....shipped, $100 off the normal cost with shipping

Re: Ported Intake

How much to powder coat it also?

LGAFF 04-19-2013 02:28 PM

Re: Ported Intake

Intake porting $700
Powdercoat: $250 as is
PC with sanding smoother surface $325

Chip: $200 (could be more or less , I would have to source this)

This is about $1-2K less than with most others...
