Mike

I am almost positive that a standard C4 glas will fit. (will wait for the experts to chime in)

thanks David.....let's see what everyone else has to say. Any ideas where to find it if it is a standard C4?

No expert BUT 100% sure a regular C4 will interchange. I changed the glass on my 88 ZR-1 doors (they were stock 1989 ZR-1 proto doors) to proper date coded 88 glass from a regular C4.

I have had good luck with Vette2Vette for Parts. Jason usually has what I need

Keep in mind a lot of these 20 year old replacement parts are guide scratched. It will be a challenge to find the right date code that will be in "perfect" condition.

yeah I have a 4372 point car that I am trying to keep as original as possible. I need to look at the deduction for a noncorrect dated window and see if it really matters that much.

Yep kinda figured she was a NCRS car when the correct date code entered the conversation. Id get all the details of what you are looking for handy to include taking a pic of the codes you are looking for to help the above part locators

Re: 90 driver side window glass

Both side windows are a total of 27 originality points and 26 condition points. If the glass is correct and just the date code is wrong, it should only be about a 10% deduction (3 points) on originality. 27/2*(1/5). Condition (scratches) are a separate issue.

Check the passenger side glass and see what the date code is for that side of the car. Typically the glass on both sides would be the same or close. I think as long as you are within a few months (before) the build date of the car you will be OK. If you have any problems let me know and I will pull out my judging manual for the 1990 MY to get the codes.

BTW if you drop the spare tire tub, lay on your back and look at the rear bumper sub-frame the production date of the car should be in crayon on the aluminum frame, Quick way to check if you don't have a build sheet handy.

I should have one side from an 89 pre-production car. It may be too early. I'll have to check the date code.
