Driver for datalog hardware...
1 Attachment(s)
edit: It's now a different problem:
It's now a 'Hardware Not Found' issue (for TunerPro 5.0). DataMaster - Z1 says, "ALDL is working, but no PCM detected." I did download the '90, '91 LT5 version from DataMaster website. Help? |
Re: Driver for datalog hardware...
Shrade,
I had to download a similar uart driver for my laptop as it didn't have a usb driver for my TTS datamaster as well. Go on the web and type in the search box ft232 uart usb driver. I beieve you will find one you can use. |

Re: Driver for datalog hardware...
Are you using a serial to usb converter? I had to use the software that came with the converter to get my FJO dual wideband setup to work. I am going to try Tunerpro tomorrow, will let you know.

"Disable CCM Handshake" ( a recognition problem ), did not fix the problem. They have to do better than this............... |
Re: Driver for datalog hardware...
Changed COM port to port 4; CCM detected.
Still no readings displayed... |
Re: Driver for datalog hardware...
Got a connection with monitoring.
Looks like some problems somewhere here (will Copy / Paste readings shortly for feedback from TUNERS!!!). edit: DataMaster didn't record a DIACOM file to play back. WTH??? |
Re: Driver for datalog hardware...
Schrade,
What version of datamaster are you using and what year is your car? |

Re: Driver for datalog hardware...
Try recording a datamaster file and playback of the datamaster file instead of diacom

Re: Driver for datalog hardware...
Thanks for helpin' here Franke - appreciate it much! Sure wouldn't mind if a few others chimed in too...
I got some 'data', but it means nothing to me just yet here. Started a recording with the engine off, then started the engine, and noted parameters doing 'reads', then played with the throttle, noted additional reads, and shutdown. Saved files don't read in 'progression'. Have to play with it tomorrow some more here... |
Re: Driver for datalog hardware...
Schrade,
When I had O2 and injector problems the histogram file showed me the lean and rich issues I was having by left or right side. Its part of block learn mode and you can get a lot of info from this. Do you have the datamaster manual? You can down load it to explain all of the parameters of the program. It was quite a bit of help to me. I was going to try Tuner Pro as well but since I cured my Z's problems I didn't go that far. Are you having any issues or just experimenting? |
Re: Driver for datalog hardware...
No issues - with exception of the 'off idle sag' / slow-retarded throttle response. Trying to see if voltages for MAP or TPS show irregularities or out of spec there...
Will see if TunerPro is more user-friendly to navigate tomorrow here. |
