Going down to start a small dealer wholesale cars at first then specializing in Vettes and fun stuff, in Ft myers in November. I have been parting out, and working on C4 Corvette's for along time including a couple ZR-1's In the interest of not losing my shirt I am offering up repair services, unlike other shops, If I can't figure it out you don't pay (pet peeve of mine "we can't figure out why your car cuts off at idle, but we replaced your injectors that'll be 2,000.00 please, oh and another 500.00 to keep throwing darts at the problem). Advise, Poor taste jokes, and wife judging always free stop by as I'll be lonely and have no friends. No laughing at my paltry LT1 Vette either.

Man, a lot of ZR-1 parts coming out of FL recently. I drove down to Orlando a few weeks ago to pick up and LT5 for a stroker build. Sorry I couldn't grab yours last year but the timing was just wrong for me. Good luck in FL, hope business booms for ya!

Turns out when you can't sell the whole package for engine ECM, harness, for 4,500, you can part out the motor for like 9k, lotta expensive little do dads in there.

Hows your tree, burn it all yet?

Wow, that a good profit on the motor, yeah those damn little parts do add up.

We converted our fireplace to gas years ago, wifey didn't like the mess of a wood stove, had the wood haulded. Two ash trees looming over my garage, figured better take care of this, so $6,000.00 later they're down.

Congratulations on your business! When I started mine, I think the Maytag guy was busier. At least you have the internet....post on forums, maybe put parts/labor specials together. Good Luck!

Are you a legitimate ZR-1 Shop? I live in Miami and issue after replacing clutch. Soft pedal and engaging just off the floor. Please send number where I may be able to reach your shop. Thanks

Did you tilt up the slave cylinder while you bled it before you mounted it?

Really no such thing a legitamete ZR1 shop, there are shops that work on Vettes that may work on a ZR1. There are Corvette shops that will tell you no way, And there are shops that will try on anything you give em.

Your problem is not a specific ZR1 problem, and any shop should be able to easily fix it.

I stopped by a couple weeks ago and met Y-me. Great guy, great location, and a nice business setup. I'll be bringing my Aqua around again in a few weeks to get your take on a couple issues.

I wouldn't laugh at an LT1. My '94 was a great car - tight as a drum, 100% OEM, all the [crank] 300HP, and still burned 32.7MPG's @ 59.

And when you OWNED the business, you NEVER have lots of friends - only customers (occasionally UNhappy ones), and employees...
