Dunno What To Think Of This...
Saw this on Facebook today. Kinda cool - kinda not.
Wondering if anybody has seen this thing and is it really a ZR-1??? http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ttelcamino.jpg |
Re: Dunno What To Think Of This...
Judging by the rear bumper it does look like a ZR1 rear end.
However, the rear wheels don't appear to be the ZR1 depth, the lugs are way too close to the top. No way to tell for sure without popping the hood, though. Could go either way. 'Crabs |

All I can say is "I DIDN'T DO IT!!!!!"

Re: Dunno What To Think Of This...
Well, that's kinda different.

Re: Dunno What To Think Of This...

Re: Dunno What To Think Of This...
Didn't that car burn to the ground?
|
Re: Dunno What To Think Of This...
If you tell me where it currently resides, I'll make that happen!

Re: Dunno What To Think Of This...
OK, I'm calm now. I googled "ZR-1 el camino" and learned that it is actually an '84 Vette. PHEW!!

Maybe in the Redmond WA vicinity!

Re: Dunno What To Think Of This...
I still don't understand why someone would put a "ZR-1" badge
on a non ZR-1? Maybe I'll put a Bugatti badge on my Z - that'll sure fool them! |
Re: Dunno What To Think Of This...
The same reason they put SS badges on non-SS's.

http://jalopnik.com/388460/corvettam...-still-awesome "Who needs a Pontiac G8 ST when you can have a bitchin' camino-ized C4 Corvette ZR-1? Nobody that's who. Fortunately for our still beating hearts, this is not really a ZR-1 turned truck/car — it's an '84 Vette smooshed together with a '91 with custom molds and bodywork to create that smooth Vettamino effect. According to ClassyAuto (misnomer?) this was the brainchild of the original owner of Bayliner Boats and took over $115K to create. Wow, that's camino love right there. We have no idea how up to date their website is, but the sale price at one time at least was a steal at $35,000... cough, cough, choke.... WHAT!" |

Well that makes me feel better... #notaZR-1
I have to admit it looks like it was nicely done - not just a hack job. Would be kinda wierd seeing that with a 4 wheeler in the back though... :p |

I kinda like it. But I don't like the ZR-1 badging if it's not.

Re: Dunno What To Think Of This...
I like it. Great way to resurrect a car that would be otherwise scrapped and make a seriously cool shop truck/parts runner. Is it for sale somewhere?
